Ex-director of Moscow Satire Theater Mammadali Aghayev detained

Employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service have detained Mammadali Aghayev, the former director of the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire, according to the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, Irina Volk, Report informs.
"Operatives from the Main Directorate for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow City, together with employees of the Federal Security Service Directorate for Moscow City and Moscow Region, have detained a resident of the capital. The former director of one of the largest theaters is suspected of fraud," Volk wrote on Telegram.
The accused person has been taken to the Central Administrative District of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow City for investigative activities. The accounts of the detained person and his close relatives have been frozen.
Mammadali Aghayev worked at the theater since 1985 in positions including chief administrator, assistant director, deputy director, and executive director. From November 1992 to December 2021, he served as the director of the Moscow Academic Satire Theater.
