Envoy: US ready for alternative actions against Russia, if necessary

The US prefers the path of diplomacy and negotiation, but is also preparing for alternative actions, if necessary, US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan said during an online briefing, Report informs.

He noted that the US and partners are ready to take the necessary measures if Russia takes military action against Ukraine.

In particular, answering a journalist’s question, the ambassador stressed that the adoption of sanctions against Russia is one and not the only answer of the world community. At the same time, he reminded that this is not the first time that sanctions have been taken against Russia.

Ambassador Sullivan also stressed that, in general, relations between countries are very important.
