"We are always sensitive about women and children. We want women in Afghanistan to be able to exercise all their rights freely," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in an interview with Hurriyet newspaper, assessing the situation in Afghanistan.
He also touched upon talks with the Taliban: "When the United States signs an agreement with the Taliban, no one makes a problem out of it, so why make a problem out of our meeting ?! We need to meet with everyone for our own interests. This does not mean that we have mastered their management and ideology. China, Russia, and Iran are holding meetings with the Taliban. Everyone is pragmatic. These are normal things."
