The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) says there will be very few tourists in Russia this summer, Report informs.
The number of tourists visiting the sights in the summer of this year will be reduced by more than 95% compared to the period before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thus, the demand for Russia by citizens of Europe, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East has practically stopped.
The association cites several reasons for this: the sharp rise in transport prices and the lack of direct flights to Russia from a number of countries, visa restrictions and e-visas, the inability of tourists to pay with Visa and Mastercard, and some brands have left the Russian Federation.
