Armenian citizens detained at Tbilisi airport for smuggling gold

Georgian customs officers prevented the illegal import of gold jewelry, said the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance.
During the inspection of the hand luggage of two Armenian citizens at the checkpoint at Tbilisi airport, undeclared gold items weighing 322.5 grams were found. The cost of the smuggling was about 37,000 lari ($12,000).
One Armenian citizen was fined 14,304 lari ($4,400), and the materials related to another were submitted to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance.
