Armenia's National Assembly speaker refuses to include update on 44-day war to session agenda

Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan has refused to include the update of the commission on the 44-day war to the agenda of the upcoming National Assembly session, which begins on September 30, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
He explained his refusal by saying that all legally required deadlines for publishing the commission's findings had passed, and according to the National Assembly's rules of procedure, he does not have the right to include the document on the session agenda.
The commission was established in February 2022 at the initiative of the ruling majority (the Civil Contract faction).
As part of the commission's work, members of parliament invited those responsible for the country's defense and foreign policy before and during the 2020 war, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to its meetings.
