The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia on Sunday rejected the demands to invalidate the results of the snap parliamentary elections, Report informs via foreign media.
The Zartonk Party, the Armenia Alliance of the ex-President Robert Kocharian, and the I Have Honor Alliance of the former President Serzh Sargsyan earlier demanded to invalidate the election results due to alleged violations during the pre-election period and the election day.
“An election can only be considered invalid if irregularities affected the entire electoral process and the final results. The CEC did not register such data, which means that we cannot invalidate the elections,” CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan said.
