Armenia, Pakistan decide to establish diplomatic relations

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar have held a meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China, Report informs referring to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that the parties announced their decision to establish diplomatic relations.

"The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the decision to establish diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan and discussed the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation," the press release says.

Touching on regional events, Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia's efforts to establish stable peace in the South Caucasus, emphasizing in this context the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the ministry's statement says.
