Xi Jinping to pay state visit to Kyrgyzstan

Chinese leader Xi Jinping will make a state visit to Kyrgyzstan from August 31 through September 1 and will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev stated during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, Report informs.

According to Kulubaev, the visit preparations and Xi Jinping's participation in the SCO summit were discussed.

"Today's meeting allowed us to address preparations for President Xi Jinping's state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and his participation in the SCO summit," he said.

The minister noted that in recent years, relations between Kyrgyzstan and China have steadily developed based on mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests.

Kulubaev also emphasized that there are no political disagreements between the two countries, and regular high‑level contacts have become a positive tradition.

The SCO summit with the participation of heads of state will be held in Kyrgyzstan on August 31–September 1.
