Xi Jinping calls China-US confrontation disaster for whole world

The confrontation between China and the US is a disaster for both these countries and for the entire world, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said during a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden, Report informs, referring to TASS.

"China-US cooperation can lead to many important events that will benefit both the two countries and the whole world," Xi Jinping said.

He urged the US to exercise caution over Taiwan, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong issues and develop relations based on respect.

China and the US must restore the mechanisms of dialogue to clearly understand each other’s intentions, the president of the PRC noted.
