The death toll from wildfires in the western United States has risen to 23, Report says, citing TASS.
The fires spread to more than ten states in the western United States. Nineteen deaths were recorded in California, three in Oregon, and one in Washington.
Earlier, Reuters informed that 11 people died in California, while Oregon officials confirmed three losses.
"Abnormal weather conditions have led to forest fires in California, Oregon, Washington, and other states," the Idaho National Interdepartmental Fire Center stated.
Oregon officials said Thursday that more than 500,000 residents had been evacuated due to the fires.
