US Senate approves permanent representative to UN

The US Senate has approved Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s candidacy for the country’s permanent representative to the UN, Report informs.
Thomas-Greenfield is an American diplomat who was Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs during Barack Obama’s presidency.
She will replace Kelly Craft, who left this post in January when the country’s leadership changed.
