US eyes attending Tokyo Olympics

The US intends to participate in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics despite signs of a worsening epidemiological situation in Japan, White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki said at a regular press briefing, Report informs referring to TASS.

“Our position hasn’t changed. Obviously, we work in close coordination with the US Olympic Committee on assessing — and with our health and medical advisors in the US government — on assessing. But our position has not changed on their attendance at the games,” Psaki said.
