US, Canada begin air defense exercise in Arctic

A joint air defense exercise by the US and Canadian air forces has started in the Arctic, Report informs, citing a tweet of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
“The NORAD arctic air defense exercise starts today [March 20] and goes until March 26,” the organization tweeted.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden asked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to increase defense spending and, in particular, help modernize the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
