The UN General Assembly will strive to fulfill its responsibilities to resolve conflicts in various parts of the world, Abdulla Shahid, President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, told Report answering the question on the discussion of a dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the post-conflict period at the UN General Assembly.
“Issues of peace and security are directly included in the mandate of the UN Security Council. However, the UN General Assembly also has a role to play in such matters. I will strive to fulfill the obligations of the General Assembly throughout the world,” he said.
