Ukraine, Lithuania agree to cooperate under Drone Deal format

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda have discussed defense cooperation and agreed to work together within the Drone Deal format.
Report informs, citing Zelenskyy's post on X, that the two countries now have a bilateral agreement in this area.
Zelenskyy said the agreement is intended to strengthen both countries" defense capabilities and is based on the principle of reciprocity.
He noted that Ukraine supports partners that provide real and tangible assistance to its defense.
According to the Ukrainian president, a Ukrainian military expert team will work in Lithuania to help develop the necessary security capabilities, primarily to counter modern threats and strengthen the security of both countries and the entire region.
Zelenskyy said the challenges faced by the two countries are shared and should be overcome together.
He also thanked Lithuania for its principled support and readiness to strengthen defense capabilities in response to possible Russian attacks.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Nauseda for his clear position on Ukraine's European integration, saying that all six negotiation clusters for Ukraine should be opened.
