Ukraine forms coalition with 13 countries on ballistic missile defense

Ukraine is forming a coalition with European partners on defense against ballistic missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy thanked Ukraine's European partners, noting that a meeting has been held at the level of national security advisers.
He said Ukraine is gradually advancing the issue of producing ballistic missile defense systems in Europe and is forming a coalition on the matter. Zelenskyy said this is worth doing and that Ukraine was now closer than ever to achieving a result.
He added that 13 countries and the Office of the NATO Secretary General were represented at the meeting, calling it a very important initiative.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine's position is currently strong both on the front line and in cooperation with international partners. He stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen the defense of Ukraine and Europe.
The Ukrainian leader said Ukraine must withstand the war, preserve its independence and ensure the safety of its people, adding that this would certainly happen.
