UK PM Sunak speaks to Egyptian president on Gaza border crossing

Egyptian President Abel-Fattah El-Sisi and the UK’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak underscored in a phone call the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at reducing tension, and protecting civilians amid the Israeli war on Gaza, according to a statement by the presidential spokesman on Thursday, Report informs, citing Ahram.
During the phone call, President El-Sisi highlighted to PM Sunak Egypt’s ongoing efforts to de-escalate the crisis and avoid the blood-shedding of innocents, as per the statement.
Additionally, El-Sisi emphasized the necessity of ensuring the continuation of sending humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
