Taliban delegation meets US rep for Afghanistan

A delegation of the radical Taliban movement has held consultations in Islamabad with US State Department’s Special Representative and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Afghanistan Thomas West, Spokesperson for the Afghan Foreign Ministry Abdul Qahar Balkhi, appointed by the Taliban, tweeted, Report informs referring to TASS.
“Foreign Minister (in the interim government formed by radicals) Amir Khan Muttaqi met with US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West on the sidelines of an emergency session of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states. During the conversation, the sides discussed in detail the current economic and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan,” Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote.
