Taliban appoint deputy agriculture minister as attorney general

The Taliban have appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Shamsuddin Shariati as Afghanistan's Attorney General, Second Deputy Minister of Information and Culture in the Provisional Taliban Cabinet Inamullah Samangani said, Report informs via Ariana News.
"Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Shariati was appointed to the post of Attorney General by decree of the supreme leader of the Taliban (Haibatullah Akhundzada)," Samangani noted.
Shariati is a native of Badakhshan province. Prior to his appointment in the Ministry of Agriculture, he was the Taliban governor in the Paktia and Maidan Wardak provinces.
