Russian missile strike near Sumy kills 2, injures 5 – UPDATED

Two civilians were killed in a Russian missile strike on Sumy Region this morning, Acting Mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, said, Report informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"As a result of the morning missile strike on the Bytytskyi starosta district of the Sumy community, two people were killed and another five were injured. There is destruction and damage in the residential sector. I will later publish a video from the scene," Kobzar wrote on Telegram.

Earlier, Oleg Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Administration, reported one death caused by an attack by Russian UAVs on Sumy Region.

The Russian Armed Forces carried out drone attacks on Ukraine's Sumy region.

According to Report, Ukrainian media - citing the head of the regional administration, Oleh Hryhorov - say one person was killed as a result of the strikes.

He stated that the attack targeted an industrial zone, triggering a fire. The body of a security guard was later found under the debris.
