Pro-Armenian MP from France punished for embezzling public property

Pro-Armenian French MP Francois Pupponi has been accused of embezzling public property.
According to Report's French bureau, he was fined 5,000 euros by the Paris City Court of Pontoise on charges of using public property for personal gain.
During his tenure as mayor of the city of Sarcelles, department of Val-d'Oise, Pupponi used the SEM Chaleur bank card for personal needs, which supplies heat to the houses of 40 thousand city residents.
The former mayor was also accused of embezzling more than 27,000 euros from restaurants and hotels in Paris and the provinces.
The prosecutor's office demanded a six-month suspended sentence and a fine of 20,000 euros for MP.
Francois Pupponi is a pro-Armenian politician.
