Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has called on his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto to change his position regarding Hungary receiving energy supplies from Russia, Report informs.
"Peter, as the European Commission has repeatedly told you, Hungary can get its oil from non-Russian sources without financing Putin's war machine," Sikorski wrote on X.
He asked the Hungarian counterpart to "show solidarity with Ukraine's struggle for independence."
Szijjarto repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which Hungary receives Russian oil, during August. Due to damage caused by Ukrainian strikes, the pipeline stopped transporting oil twice during August.
