Pedro Sanchez: EU incomplete without Western Balkans

Spain supports the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez told journalists on the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tivat, Montenegro, Report informs.

"We are celebrating 40 years of Spain's membership in the European Union. Therefore, I believe that the path of domestic reforms in democracy, the rule of law, the social market economy, and other areas is very important. All of this is reflected in our treaties," Sanchez said.

He emphasized that the European Union is incomplete without the Western Balkan countries.

"We will continue our support both for domestic reforms and for the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans, including Serbia," the Spanish prime minister added.
