OTS leaders call for development of human-centered and ethical AI

The leaders of the Organization of Turkic States emphasized the need to expand multilateral cooperation among Turkic states to create sustainable digital ecosystems.
According to Report, this is stated in the Turkistan Declaration adopted today following the informal OTS summit in Turkistan.
The document notes that artificial intelligence and digital technologies are strategic drivers of economic integration, sustainable development, innovation, the improvement of public services, and the preservation of Turkic cultural heritage.
At the same time, it stresses the need for coordinated action in the areas of ethical governance, cybersecurity, and data protection.
"The leaders emphasized the need to expand multilateral cooperation among Turkic states to create sustainable digital ecosystems, develop human-centered and ethical artificial intelligence, build shared infrastructure, and strengthen human capital in line with international practice and Turkic solidarity," the document states.
The signatories also highlighted the significant contribution of Turkic peoples to world civilization and the growing role of Turkic states in shaping the digital future of the global economy.
In addition, the summit participants reaffirmed their commitment to the principles and objectives of the historic Nakhchivan Agreement, the Turkic World Vision–2040, the Charter of the Turkic World, the Astana Act, and the OTS Strategy for 2022–2026, which предусматривают the development of cooperation in new technologies, innovation, and digital transformation.
