Number of COVID infection cases in Tokyo grows 12-fold in week

The number of coronavirus infection cases in Tokyo over the past day has amounted to 922, the Tokyo Mayor’s Office said, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

This is 12 times more than on December 31, a week ago, when 78 infection cases were recorded.

In total, for the first time since mid-September, more than 6,000 infection cases have been detected in the country.
