Merkel, Putin to discuss Afghanistan

The German government has revealed the topics to be discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin during German Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to Russia.
Report informs, citing RIA Novosti, that the bilateral meeting scheduled for August 20 will focus on the current situation in Afghanistan, the conflict in eastern Ukraine, and issues related to Belarus.
Merkel will also visit Ukraine on August 22 and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
