The United States temporarily halted all evacuation flights from Kabul to clear people who had converged on the airfield.
Report informs, citing Al-Jazeera, that the Kabul airport is overwhelmed with chaos due to the helicopters flying intensively with employees of diplomatic missions onboard and the crowds of Afghan nationals trying to escape the Taliban.
People are seen gathered at the entrance to the only airport of the capital city.
The US military temporarily halted the evacuation from Kabul to clear the airfield, a US defense official told Reuters without elaborating on how long the pause will last.
