Lithuania will summon Russia's representative in Vilnius to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the Lithuanian embassy building in Kyiv was damaged during Russia's latest attack, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys said on X.
He said Russian missiles landed just a few meters from the diplomatic mission, causing damage to the embassy building. No embassy staff members were injured.
"During last night's Russian attacks on Kyiv, Lithuania's Embassy was also damaged. Missiles struck just meters from the Embassy. Fortunately, our staff did not suffer. Today, Lithuanian MFA will summon Russia's representative in Vilnius. The response is clear: increase pressure on Russia through stronger sanctions and step up support for Ukraine," Budrys said.
