Kremlin disagrees with US approach to economic relations with Russia

The Kremlin has expressed disagreement with the United States' approach to developing economic relations with Russia, stating that Washington links such cooperation to the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with China's CCTV, according to Report.

"The Americans still link everything to the settlement around Ukraine. They believe that first there should be a settlement in Ukraine, and only then development of relations in the field of the economy, investment, culture, and so on," Peskov said.

He added that Moscow considers this approach to be incorrect.

Peskov also stated that "tango is danced by two," but claimed that the United States is currently unwilling to engage in this manner.
