Israeli and Hungarian foreign ministers discuss situation in Gaza Strip

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa"ar discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and the possibility of recognizing the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization with his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó, the press service of Israel"s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, as quoted by Report.

"I spoke with Szijjártó. I greatly appreciated Hungary"s decision to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization. I also informed him about the situation in the Gaza Strip," said Sa"ar.

According to him, Hungary"s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade confirmed that Budapest will continue to support Israel amid attempts to undermine the country within the EU.

"We [Israel] appreciate that," added Sa"ar.

Previously, Szijjártó had sent a letter to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, demanding that the Antifa movement be designated a terrorist organization, following the example of the United States, as declared earlier by US President Donald Trump.
