Israel strikes Hezbollah targets in Lebanon

Israel launched strikes overnight on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, the Israeli army says in a statement, Report informs, citing The Times of Israel.

“The Israeli army is striking military targets of the terrorist organization Hezbollah on Lebanese territory,” it says.

Besides, the IDF confirms reports that it killed former senior Hamas official Osama Mazini in an airstrike earlier this evening.

It is claimed that Mazini was the head of Hamas’s Shura Council and a Hamas education minister who was also tasked with handling the file of Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier held captive by Hamas in Gaza for five years.
