France recognizes Palestinian statehood

French President Emmanuel Macron announced the recognition of Palestinian statehood.
According to Report, he made this statement at a conference on the Palestinian issue held at the UN headquarters in New York.
"Today, I declare France"s recognition of the State of Palestine," Macron said.
