Three people died as a result of an explosion at a food production facility in the Greek city of Trikala.

Report informs, citing the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, that two more people are considered missing.

Five people are considered missing following a fire that broke out today at a food processing plant located near the city of Trikala in central Greece, a representative of the Greek fire service said.

According to Report, citing the Reuters news agency, 13 people were inside the facility at the time of the fire, and eight of them managed to evacuate.

Search and rescue operations to locate the missing are ongoing, and authorities are investigating the causes of the devastating fire.
