Finns might face jail for refusing to COVID test

The Finnish Government plans to tighten legislation as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Those refusing to do a COVID test can face a fine or up to three months in prison, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
The Finnish Social Affairs and Health Ministry has submitted the relevant bill to the parliament today.
For example, during the COVID-19 epidemic, a regional government agency may decide on a mandatory medical examination at the airport. If a person refuses to undergo a compulsory medical examination, he or she can be fined or imprisoned for up to three months, says the bill.
The bill is expected to pass at the parliament and be approved by the president, and take effect on February 22.
