European commissioner urges to increase quotas for Afghan refugees

The EU countries should increase quotas for the admission of refugees from Afghanistan, European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson told Handelsblatt newspaper, Report informs.
In her opinion, Europe must show solidarity and protect those who need it.
Johansson previously announced that in September, the European Commission would organize a special forum to discuss the resettlement of Afghans in need.
