EU imposes ban on Russian gold

The European Union has imposed sanctions against Russia’s gold exports, Report informs, citing High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“Today, we are taking another step to curtail Russia’s capacity to continue to finance its aggression against Ukraine.
We are effectively banning Russia’s most significant export after energy – Russian gold,” Josep Borrell tweeted.
