EU extends sanctions against Russia until end-2023

The European Union extended sanctions against Russia due to hostilities in Ukraine until January 31 next year, according to Report.
Today, the EU Council decided to extend the restrictive measures that are currently in effect in relation to certain sectors of the Russian economy for six months, until January 31, 2023, the document says.
EU's economic sanctions, which have been in force for more than seven years, are directed against the financial, energy and defense sectors in the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the seventh package of restrictive measures was approved.
