Dam collapses in Kyrgyzstan, 1,500 people evacuated

About 1,500 people have been evacuated due to the partial collapse of a dam in the Kadamjay region of Kyrgyzstan, Report mentions, referring to TASS.
"The dam number 12 broke in 4-5 spots. It is located in the village Oruk-Zar. The incident posed a threat of flooding of Kaitpas and Oruk-Zar villages of Ak-Turpak rural municipality," said the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In this regard, the evacuation was carried out in the settlements.
No one was killed or injured in the incident, and work is underway to restore the dam.
