The deployment of US forces in the Caribbean could trigger conflict, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla has warned, according to Report.
"The Caribbean is currently facing the threat of conflict due to the completely unjustified deployment of US air and naval forces, including missiles, landing craft, and nuclear submarines," the minister said during the general debate of the 80th session of the UNGA.
Rodriguez said the United States uses the pretext of combating crime and drug trafficking for its military presence in the Caribbean. "A story that no one believes."
