Croatian, Turkish FMs meet in Dubrovnik

Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlic Radman has met with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Dubrovnik, Report informs.

Grlic Radman announced the meeting on X:

"On the margins of the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Dubrovnik, I met with my Turkish colleague Hakan Fidan. We reaffirmed the strategic importance of the Black Sea dimension within the Three Seas Initiative, aiming to strengthen transport and energy connectivity between the North and South of Europe."

The Three Seas Initiative, which covers the Adriatic, Baltic and Black seas, focuses on several strategic areas, including energy. It aims to increase regional energy independence and support the transition to renewable energy sources.

The initiative also envisions the development of North-South transport corridors and infrastructure. Strengthening digital infrastructure and cybersecurity is another key goal. Regional security and the strengthening of NATO's eastern flank are also among the issues discussed, particularly against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine.
