Azerbaijan and Armenia are neighbours that cannot move away from each other, Geng Shuang, China's deputy permanent representative to the UN, said, Report informs.
According to officials, peace is in the interest of not only both countries but the region and beyond.
His country has always advocated for the need to de-escalate tensions and avoid casualties, he noted, emphasizing that Baku and Yerevan should meet halfway and resolve issues between them through diplomacy. To that end, his country is ready to play a constructive role, he added.
