China, Tajikistan sign cooperation documents after leaders' talks

Chinese President Xi Jinping has held talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who is on a state visit to China.
Report informs, citing China's CCTV+, that Xi stressed China will, as always, support Tajikistan's steps toward the country's development and the protection of its independence, sovereignty and security.
China's Xinhua news agency, in turn, noted that following the talks, the heads of state signed a treaty of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as a joint statement on deepening the China-Tajikistan comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
Overall, following the talks, the sides signed a large package of bilateral documents on cooperation in areas including trade and investment, artificial intelligence, environmentally friendly mining, media, agriculture, education, housing construction and market regulation.
