Democratic candidate Joseph Biden took the lead in the US presidential race in Georgia after processing 99% of the ballots, Report says, ciitng CNN.
Currently, the former Vice President of the United States is gaining 2,449,580 votes, while 2,448,484 voters preferred Republican Donald Trump, so Biden's margin in the state is 1,096 votes.
The race's momentum has shifted in Biden's favor -- putting him on the doorstep of the critical threshold of 270 electoral votes needed to become president -- as he has racked up huge margins among mail-in ballots favored by Democratic voters.
