Anati: It is difficult for countries to handle humanitarian problems alone

Urban cooperation helps accelerate solutions to housing and humanitarian challenges, Abdallah Anati, Executive Director of the Association of Palestinian Local Authorities (APLA), said at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

Anati noted that APLA's activities are shaped according to the needs of member municipalities: "We ask municipalities about their priorities. Whether it is housing, climate change, or other issues, we align our work with those needs."

The director also highlighted that, given the current situation in the region, it is difficult for cities and countries to cope with problems on their own: "Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria face serious challenges. In such circumstances, partnership becomes a key factor."
