Azerbaijani Parliament adopts living wage for next year in first reading

A bill "On the Subsistence Minimum for 2024" was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Report informs.
The project was presented by Tahir Mirkishili, chairman of the Parliament's Committee on Economic Policy, Industries, and Enterprising.
In the bill, the subsistence level for 2024 is set at 270 manats ($158.82) across the country, 287 manats ($168.82) for the able-bodied population, 222 manats ($130.59) for pensioners, and 235 manats ($138.24) for children.
After discussions, the bill was adopted in the first reading.
