Azerbaijani Parliament adopts bill on lifelong diplomatic passports to vice presidents

The draft amendments to the Law "On Passports" were discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan.
According to Report, the list of persons eligible for diplomatic passports is being expanded.
Thus, the First Vice President and Vice Presidents of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be given diplomatic passports by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs no later than 15 days after taking office.
According to another amendment, the First Vice-President and Vice-Presidents of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be issued life-long diplomatic passports.
The draft amendments to the law were put to the vote and adopted after discussions.
