Last year, AZN 1,390.6 million was allocated from Azerbaijan's state budget to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the country's economy. Of this amount, AZN 1,334.1 million was fully used, Report informs, citing the draft law "On the implementation of the state budget for 2020."
The document also says that AZN 2.5 billion was mobilized from the budget and other sources for measures of economic support. Though the measures could not prevent the expected recession in the country's economy in full, they made it possible to avoid its occurrence on a larger scale.
