ICRC monitors conditions of detainees in 15 institutions

In January-June this year, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited more than 15 institutions to monitor the conditions of detention, the proposed treatment and the trial of the detainees, said Ilaha Huseynova, head of the public relations department of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
She noted that the main goal is to assist in establishing communication between the detainees and their families, checking the conditions of treatment and detention.
Huseynova emphasized that during this period, 260 telephone cards were issued for foreign prisoners so that they could contact their families, and 287 parcels with humanitarian aid were given to the detainees from the most vulnerable strata.
