ANAMA discloses number of mines found in liberated territories this month

A total of 1,275 anti-personnel, 16 anti-tank mines, and 281 unexploded ordnance have been found in the liberated territories this month, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).

During the reporting period, 1,428 hectares of territory have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

“To date, a total of 25,760 hectares of the liberated territories have been cleared of mines and unexploded ammunition. Some 7,434 pieces of anti-personnel, 2,207 pieces of anti-tank and 9,911 pieces of unexploded ammunition have been destroyed,” the National Agency said.
